Cupping therapy is a popular technique among professional athletes.
Cupping therapy, aka myofascial decompression, can be traced back to ancient Chinese, Egyptian, and Middle Eastern cultures.
The suction creates a negative pressure environment allowing for myofascial decompression as the skin is drawn into the cups. Cupping uses negative pressure to lift the muscle fibers and draw blood to the area.
Cupping is used to help with things like chronic pain, inflammation, and other conditions.
Cupping is widely considered safe and effective. However, cupping isn’t for everyone. Allow the trained sports professionals at Connected Whole Health to determine if this treatment could benefit you.
